Day 9/31 days of #toddlerartinvitations. This is an accidental invitation to create art with coloured rice on our tuff tray. Sometime last week, I dyed rice in a couple of Christmassy colours, intending to join in with Amy @playfullittlelearners’ #playfullittlechristmas challenge a few days ago. Unfortunately we didn’t make it then. But today when hubs got called in […]

Day 8/31 days of #toddlerartinvitations Invitation to create a mess-free cling wrap painting. Ok I have to confess, while this is done by my toddler, it was done when she was only 8mo. It was sooo hot in Perth today as well as the past few days. Our house traps heat and it really felt like […]

Day 7/31 days of #toddlerartinvitations Invitation to create on a recycled cardboard roll with markers and dot stickers. Today was a really busy day, in the sense that there was not much opportunity for the toddler and I to both be home at the same time. Daddy brought the toddler swimming in the morning and when […]

Day 6/31 days of #toddlerartinvitations Invitation to create with washi tape. I’ve offered this invitation to my toddler a couple of times this year and it’s usually very well-received. Day 4/31 days of #toddlerartinvitations Invitation to create with glittery PLAYDOUGH and different loose parts which we did yesterday morning. My 23mo doesn’t have the fine motor skills yet to actually roll or form things by herself using the playdough. But I discovered that if I present the playdough to her in different ways, it prompts […]

Meet The Writer

Hi There, I'm Jules,

I am a parenting coach who helps other Mums and Dads teach their kids how to play independently (so they can foster their capacity to be creative thinkers and so you can have some time out!)
Yep, I have a pretty fun job!

I’m also:
 - A Mama to 3 beautiful girls under 5
 - A brand new home-schooling parent
 - A Singaporean who now lives in Victoria, Australia
 - An ex preschool teacher (I loved being a teacher, but left when I gave birth to my first daughter).
